Linen Eyewear for a Cloth Master: Ravi
Meet Ravi Pankhania:
Creative visionary, super sewer and fellow small business owner of Cloth Studio, a small but mighty shop that makes exceptional soft goods to compliment every interior - from pillows and beddings to window coverings and unique upholstered furniture (seriously… go check ‘em out!). We love that Ravi loves all things one of a kind, his business fuses his passion for sewing and linen – and his favourite fabric ultimately inspired our latest in custom, unique eyeglasses.
Meet the frame:
In search of eyewear that was functional yet artful, practical yet eye-catching – and a real conversation starter - Ravi turned to MOSH Framemakers to create a custom frame from *you guessed it*, linen.
(A gorgeous piece of charcoal grey linen was selected for us to use to create Ravi’s bespoke eyewear.)
From the moment Ravi stepped inside our studio doors with a vision and a piece of his favourite fabric, we started an incredible collaboration process that led to the creation of a truly one-of-a-kind frame.
From shape to finish, we worked tirelessly to create unique eyeglasses that matched our client’s distinct style, and desire for functionality. “Not only do I love the way my frames look, and the way the linen wears,” Ravi explains, “they fit me perfectly and feel like a part of me.” Even better? “Friends, family – even complete strangers – will compliment and ask questions about my new frame. When they realize it’s made from linen… well, they are in awe.”
(We carefully snipped and trimmed the linen to wrap it around an acetate chassis.)
